I want to let you know that your posts...Dear Bill:

I want to let you know that your posts have brightened my life over the time I've read them. You have given me a lot to think about, both provocative and uplifting, and you are frequently in my thoughts.

I cannot express enough how much I am saddened by your death sentence. There are many feelings that I have, but the overriding feeling is this:

I find your impending death so completely wrong on every level because we, as a society, cannot teach others to be non-violent when using violence as an example. The idea that we execute people is the supreme example of the failure of our legal system.

If you believe it is wrong please take a scant few minutes of your life -- a life where you do not contemplate the very near end of your life where you know the minute of your death -- and send a letter speaking AGAINST Bill's death sentence.

Please write and ask that William Van Poyck's death sentence be COMMUTED:

Office of Executive Clemency
4070 Esplanade Way
Tallahassee, FL 32399

I can get up right now, pet my dogs, walk outside to see the sky and smell the air after a rain, fry a couple of eggs over-easy and make toast with real butter...AND SO CAN YOU. You and I have real freedom. We are not expecting that Bill be given these same freedoms...we are asking that Bill not be killed in the name of legal justice on behalf of the state of Florida.

I pray that anyone who sees this comment will take any scrap of paper and write to commute Bill's sentence, a piece of paper, a napkin, a post card, anything to express that Bill's life is worthwhile to many citizens of the state of Florida.

Bill, you are in my thoughts and I pray that your attorneys manage a stay so that your sentence can be reviewed and real justice provided. Your life is so worthwhile on so many levels.

A last thought: Would any of these people who take action to end Bill's life do so if Jesus Christ had come back to us here on earth? If the answer is "No, I could not take Bill's life with Christ watching," then Bill's life should not be taken...because Christ IS watching.

God bless you Bill, I am for you and your life has deep value to me.

Lastly, thank you Lisa for loving your brother when your mother could not.

God bless you both. In Christ's love and life, Amen.AJLindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03600092903961543825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12068861.post-20263719399412961912013-05-18T15:49:37.073-04:002013-05-18T15:49:37.073-04:00Lisa, I personally wrote to you a week ago from to...Lisa, I personally wrote to you a week ago from today through email. This post brought me to instantaneous tears. I can feel the anguish that Bill is going through, and its not right at all. Nothing about this situation is right. Bill is far too good a person to be going through this. I wish there was more that I could do. I wish I could magically write a letter to this blood thirsty governor and have him be taken off death watch and death row. it's cruel and absurd to hear them telling him the gory details of what happens after the execution. It angers me more then anything.

How is everything going by way of possibly having the execution stayed? Is that still possible? I haven't lost hope and I won't lose hope. Bills soul shines far too brightly to ever lose hope.

-Erica from RIAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12068861.post-20819780284151317422013-05-18T13:55:38.467-04:002013-05-18T13:55:38.467-04:00I have followed your blog for years. Seeing a new post each week has excited me to read how Bill has been doing. Reading this from Bill today hurt my soul. Never dreamed I would be reading what I have for the past few weeks. Wondering to myself how could this be happening, it only happen in movies.
We live in a bazaar world.
Please accept my heart felt sorrow. My heart goes out to both you and Bill, if you can, please tell him.
May the angels be with you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
